Women in NASCAR IN 2023
NASCAR is tapping into African Americans to lead the way into the future. Above, Brehanna Daniels the former point guard from Norfolk State is not only the first woman to be a pit crew member in NASCAR, but she is the first African American woman from an HBCU to compete in the top series.
From HBCU to NASCAR
Breanna O’Leary (above) played two seasons of softball at Alcorn State University, an HBCU. She was their conditioning coach before trying out for NASCAR in 2019.
Dalanda Ouendeno
The first foreign-born woman of color to become a NASCAR crew member. The former Miami Hurricane soccer player is a natural in a fire suit.
Mover and Shaker in NASCAR
Jennifer Satterfield-Siegel is married to Max Siegel, who is the owner of Rev Racing. Satterfield-Siegel is successful in her own right with a busy as a successful dentist. She is a pediatric dentist at Special Smiles Pediatric Dentistry.
Melissa Hartville-LeBron
Is the first African American woman to have a NASCAR owner’s license.
